Golden monkeys are curious and naughty primates commonly found in the Mgahinga gorilla national park. These monkeys have a unique bright orange and gold body, cheeks and tails accompanied with black limbs, crown and tail end.

Golden monkey trekking takes about 30 to 3 hours depending on where these monkeys nested the previous night. Once you get to them, you have a chance to watch them do their day-to-day activities like feeding, playing, jumping up the trees among others as you take pictures of the moments.

Kibale national park is one of the grandeur places to go on a chimpanzee trek. The park is located in the western Uganda. The park is known as the primate capital of Uganda implying that it inhabits many primates about 15,000 chimpanzees. This thrilling activity happens in the morning with a short briefing at Kanyachu visitor Centre where they are briefed on how to behave while tracking chimpanzees.

During the trekking, you will also be able to see other primates such as the monkeys, different bird species and the tree species. 

Budongo forest in Murchison falls national park is another place that offers an amazing chimpanzee trekking experience. The forest is approximately a 30-minute drive from the Kachumbanyobo gate.

Kyambura Gorge an underground forest located in Queen Elizabeth National Park a long continuation of the Kyambura game reserve also provides thrilling moments of chimp trekking.

Equator is an imaginary line that divides the earth into two that is to say the Northern and Southern hemisphere. The Equator in Uganda is located along the Masaka –Mbarara highway in a tiny town known as Kayabwe.

Kayabwe is approximately 72 km from Kampala the capital city and the tourists who are heading to the western part of Uganda using the Masaka-Mbarara highway have the chance to get to experience the feeling of being at the Equator. This line is marked zero degrees’ latitude having a boundary at the south and north poles demonstrating where it crosses and where it divides the earth into two hemispheres. The Equator gives you chance to be on the both sides of the earth at the same time by standing on both the southern and northern hemisphere.

Carry out an amazing experiment that will leave you amazed where water drains clockwise direction at the northern hemisphere and drains anti clock wise in at the southern hemisphere. Did you know that when you are at this point, your body weight is less than 3% due to the absence of gravitational pull forces? It is also believed that it takes a short time for the day to shift from day to night.

This Lake was discovered in 1858 by John Hannington Speke, Lake Victoria is the second largest fresh water body in the world. This lake covers an area of 68,800 square kilometers and shared by the three East African countries (Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania). Up to today this majestic water body continues to capture the attention of the many travelers that arrive at its shores. It is fed by the Kagera River and other streams that pour into the Nile on the north.

Travelers are amused by the 84 large Ssese islands that are filled with tan colored beaches, amazing waters, palm trees and the tropical breezes that all provide the great feeling of having a vacation on an island in Uganda. Each of the 84 islands possess a biome a home to rare different bird species, trees that come along with crocodiles, monkeys and some other species.

Explore the magnificent views of the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga channel is a 32 km water channel that joins lake Edward to lake George. Having a boat cruise is the best and rewarding way to relish yourself in the wildlife on the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel is a home to a wide range of different types of animals and birds not forgetting the very many crocodiles.  Another astonishing boat cruise can also be carried out on the Nile. Game drives is one of the major and entertaining activities in Queen Elizabeth national park. Located in the western part of Uganda. This park is home to different animal species like elephants, lions, buffaloes among other 600 bird species. Game drives can either be done in the morning or the night game drives. Murchison Falls National Park in the Northwestern Uganda is another beautiful destination that harbors wide range of animals and therefore qualified for both day and night game drives.

Kidepo valley National Park is one of Uganda’s best destinations for game drives unlike other national parks. This park has a variety of wild animals and in their large population. The Narus valley is where game drives can happen since it is filled with water that attracts large amounts of animals in the valley year in year out.
