Leave Kampala after a pick up by the assigned driver guide at the agreed point and transfer to Lake Mburo national park the only park that is near the capital city of Uganda. Take about 3 to 4 hours with a stopover at the point where the equator crosses Uganda. Have photos on this point, buy some snacks and later on proceed to Lake Mburo National Park which is the smallest savannahs park in Uganda to start the adventure.
Have a morning game drive in the savannah plains and then in the afternoon embark on the evening boat cruise. These two activities will create everlasting memories on this safari to Uganda as you will spot the best of Lake Mburo National Park as you spot animals like impalas, zebras, warthog, spotted hyenas, hippos, crocodiles and many more others. Embark on the drive to the lodge in the evening.
Wake up on a game drive which is optional and then embark on the journey to Bwindi national park home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy the journey as you pass through terraces of Kigezi land with different plantations of bananas and pineapples. Arrive and have a leisurely evening at the lodge.
Head for briefing at the park headquarters and this will be immediately after breakfast a very important exercise where you go through the rules and regulations to follow while on the trek, the dressing code, the assignment of the park guide and many more others. Start the search with the guidance of the park ranger guide and porters in case you have extra luggage. Spend an hour in the presence of mountain gorillas after meeting them and this will create everlasting memories.
After lunch, take a community walk where you encounter the real lifestyle of the African communities. Learn about the Batwa people’s way of life after being evicted from the forest. Get entertained by the traditional dance and music and the meals. Late evening return to the lodge for dinner.
Begin the day with breakfast and then embarks on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National park as you pass through the Ishasha sector. While here, search for the rare tree-climbing lions that are always seen resting in the tree branches. This sector is home to elephants, warthogs, and different antelopes like bushbucks, waterbucks and many others. Proceed to Mweya Peninsular for your Night stay.
Wake up and prepare for an early morning game drive in order to catch up with early raisers such as lions, leopards, hyenas and many more others. The game drive will last for 2 hours but very rewarding and memorable. Apart from early raisers, meet the elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs, warthog, zebras and many more others.
In the afternoon, head to participate in the boat cruise where you encounter animals like hippos, crocodiles and many more water birds including migratory ones like the pelicans, eagles, kingfishers and more. There will be a great time while cruising on the Kazinga channel a water body that connects Lake Edward and George. Head to the lodge for your accommodation as you prepare for the next morning’s departure to Kibale NP the home of 13 primates.
Leave Queen Elizabeth national park and head to Kibale National Park one of the tourist destinations known for homing the chimpanzees. This park is home to 13 primates with small primates such as vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, grey-checked margabys and many others. Arrive and head to visit Isunga cultural community Association tours and participate in community tourism.
There is a great time to explore one of the African cultural ways of living through growing cash crops like Tea, coffee and vanilla. This tour will also involve walking at the rim of crater lakes like L. Nyabikere and L. Nyinabulitwa. The overall experience takes about 3 to 4 hours. Return to the lodge for dinner.
Chimpanzee tracking will be the main activity on this day and by 08:00hrs, be at the park offices ready for briefing after breakfast. Be told about the rules and regulations to follow while in the forest, materials you need to have like the camera, enough drinking water, a hat and more. Begging to track for our close relatives in the jungle and meeting a community/group will offer you a chance to spend an hour in their presence.
Be rewarded with a certificate of trekking after the overall experience which lasts between 2 to 5 hours. Lunch will be served at the lodge and then check out for a 5 to 6 hours’ drive to Murchison Falls National park a home to 4 of the big five African wildlife. Have different stopovers and the main one will be at the road side market to buy se fruits like pineapple, yellow bananas, jack fruit and many others. Arrive and head to the park lodge for your accommodation.
Wake up on breakfast at the lodge and then head for a 2 hours game drive in the savannahs of this beautiful park. Spot different animals such as Lion, leopards, buffalos, elephants, Giraffe, Buffalo, Zebra and many more. While on the game drive, have a stopover in the wild where you get to enjoy fruits as you enjoy the hippos. Later after lunch, bark on the evening boat cruise on Albert Nile a home to crocodiles, hippos and other water-loving birds like fish eagles, hamerkops, kingfishers, pelicans and many others.
There will be a great view of the Murchison Falls from the bottom and then have an option of Hiking to the top of the falls. This time, witness the rainbow which is formed when water squeezes itself in a narrow gorge. Head back to the lodge for your dinner.
Begin the day early in the morning with breakfast and then transfer back to Kampala with your lunch box. While on the journey, break for enroute tracking of the rhinos. This experience can last for about 2 hours and then lunch will be enjoyed at this point. Proceed with the journey and be dropped off at any agreed point to mark the end of the safari.
