Enjoy your 12 days safari in Uganda which will smartly take you to the most amazing places for leisure, adventure and exploration at a glance. Hope to visit most of Uganda’s national parks for example, visit Murchison Falls National Park and grab a chance to see most of the amazing animals in their wild. Such animals can include the rhinos which can be trekked before even getting to the location while still on the way, elephants, lions which are the kings of the jungle, herds of buffaloes, antelopes and many more. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1. Arrive at the airport

As soon as you get to the airport our team will warmly welcome you and drive you to the agreed location.  The safari guide will give you a briefing about the tour /safari while already at the lodge after checking in as you’re having your evening tea. After relaxing and staying for the night preparing for tomorrow’s activity.

Day 2. Travel to Murchison Falls National Park,

After having an early breakfast, you will meet your safari driver again and embark on the journey to Murchison Falls National Park.  Have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking which is another amazing adventure where you will get in touch with them, learn more about rhinos, pose with them for photos and many more. Proceed with the journey to Murchison and check in with the booked lodge.

Day 3. Morning game drive and boat cruise

Murchison Falls National Park is well known as a home of various wildlife including the big five which are known for playing a big role in the ecosystem. Therefore, after having your well-prepared breakfast your safari driver guide will drive and set off for the interesting adventure of the game drive where you will spot many animals such as elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and many more. Retreat to the lodge for lunch.

Chill on water like Jesus while on your boat ride adventure and record different beautiful bird species such as kingfishers, fish Eagles, ibis, crakes, vultures and many more. Water animals can also be spotted like Nile crocodiles, hippos and others that come to drink water like warthog, Bush pigs, buffaloes and others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4. Travel to Kibale Forest National Park, tea experience

Arise early morning for breakfast, check out from the lodge and after the drive head to Kibale Forest National Park.  The drive takes you about 6 hours’ drive to get to the destination. Before getting there, you will have a stopover in Fort Portal the tourism city for lunch then proceed with the journey. First, check in with the booked lodge then drive to Isunga Cultural Community Tours for the evening activity. Get experience how tea is grown from day one of the nursery bed to the time of harvest and drink coffee made locally with the help of a local guide. Return to the lodge after the activity for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5. Chimpanzees trekking and crater lakes exploration

Arise very early morning from your warm bed on day five of your safari, have breakfast and drive to the starting point known as Kanyanchu visitors centre for a briefing led by the ranger guide. He/she will lead you into the field in search of these apes and other primates will be spotted like grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus and others. After trekking and having your lunch,  you will have another interesting activity the crater lakes exploration with the isunga cultural community again where you walk through the community and explore three craters within three to four hours.

Day 6. Morning optional activity transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early morning this day, enjoy your well-prepared breakfast, sunbathe and drive for the activity of your choice or prepare for the checkout. Pack all your belongings and drive heading to another protected area the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be bypassing several crater lakes, tea estates and different communities to get to this National Park. Be welcomed by several wildlife as soon as you start entering the Park then proceed and check in with the booked lodge.

Day 7. Morning game drive and boat ride at Kazinga channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park is the second largest National Park in Uganda with the most amazing animals which are not common in the country and Africa at large the rare tree-climbing lions. Therefore after your morning meals drive for the morning adventure in Queen Elizabeth National Park Ishasha sector where you will grab a chance to see these rare animals in their leisure time, elephants feeding alongside the road, herds of buffaloes, giraffes and many more.

Drive back to the lodge for lunch and later move for a boat ride at Kazinga channel and spot several water animals like schools of hippos, crocodiles, water birds for example giant kingfishers, fish Eagles and many others will also be recorded. Retreat to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On this day you will wake up depending on the time of your choice for breakfast, sunbathe, and tour around your lodge then after we shall embark on our journey by checking out to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Day 9. Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural experience

This day will be full of fun therefore, after having your delicious breakfast drive immediately to the Park offices as early as possible to catch up with time. You will be grouped by eight people who are recommended to trek with a Gorilla family and be briefed about the field including all the do’s and don’ts of the jungle before setting off for the walk. Spend enough time with these primate apes while in their presence and learn more with the help of the ranger guide.

Drive back to the lodge for lunch and move for the Batwa cultural experience in the afternoon. Meet and interact with the Batwa people for their cultural music dance and drama get involved if interested, hear stories from elders about how they used to survive while in the forest whenever they could feel sick and many others.

Day 10. Transfer to Lake Mburo

On day ten, have your peaceful breakfast and plan to move to Lake Mburo National Park, you will have a stopover at the Igongo cultural centre and Museum in Mbarara City for lunch and have time to visit the museum for some historical lessons about the Ankole kingdom. Proceed and check in with the booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11. Horse riding, optional activity

Wake up early morning for breakfast and move for another activity that you would not have experienced in other National parks that you visited.  While carrying out this activity you will spot wild animals like Zebras, giraffes and many more including beautiful birds mostly big birds or call them birds of prey. After drive back to the lodge for lunch and relax.

Day 12. Transfer back to Kampala

This day will probably mark the end of your safari in Uganda therefore, you will wake up in the morning for breakfast then check out and embark on your journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at Kayabwe Equator for a picnic lunch, and photo shooting and also visit the craft shop to buy some souvenirs to take home for remembrance. Continue with the journey to Kampala and be dropped at the airport to fly back
