Day 1: Cross to Uganda’s Mgahinga National Park from Kigali

Be picked from Kigali the capital city of the land of a thousand hills – Rwanda by the assigned driver guide. This will be an amazing tour as you cross the Cyanika border post which is not as busy as the Katuna border post.

The driver guide will help at the immigration office and acquiring all the required docents. Arrive after a 4 to 5 hours’ drive and check in the booked accommodation site for your meals and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and head back to Kigali city.

Wake up in the morning and immediately head for briefing after a heavy breakfast. The park ranger guide will take you through different aspects that are so crucial while on this day. Among others are the guidelines to follow while in the forest, history and the habitats of the forest, expectations while in the forest and many more others. The trek will begin after crosschecking your gorilla trekking permits.

While in the forest, meet other creatures like birds, plants and other mammals like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons and many more others. Spend an hour in the presence of the gorillas and this will create everlasting memories but the overall experience takes about 4 to 6 hours while in the jungle.

After enjoying lunch, embark on the journey to Kigali crossing through Cyanika border. Be dropped at the airport and this marks the end of 2 days gorilla safari in Uganda from Kigali city.
