3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Safari summary

Queen Elizabeth National Park is the most Visited National Park in Uganda and it is located in the Southwestern Uganda covering an area 1,978 km2 with rolling plains East of Lake Edward and on the foothills of Mountain Rwenzori. This safari is most preferred by travelers who have a tight a schedule but want to engage in game drive and unmatched boat cruise on Kazinga channel where you have to spot some water animals like crocodiles and hippopotamus and terrestrial animals like buffaloes and elephants that fringe around the water body. You will spot birds as well. The journey will take about 6-7 hours with a stopover at Equator.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, you will be picked by our driver representative from the hotel after breakfast. He will brief you about the safari and set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The first stopover will be at Equator where you take some pictures as you stand in different hemispheres of the Earth. Embark on your journey with a stopover in Mbarara City for a delicious lunch, thereafter proceed to the Park, check-in the lodge accommodation, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise

Arise in the early morning for breakfast and immediately head to the park to catch up the animals when they are very active. Some of the animals you expect are herds of elephants, buffaloes, hippopotamus, kobs, lions, waterbucks, bushbucks, birds, warthogs, lions among other animals.

You will have lunch break and then do a launch cruise to spot some of the birds at the lake shore, spot elephants and buffaloes swim and drink water, enjoy the cruise till sunset and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala and departure

On this day, you will wake up in the morning to grab a scrumptious breakfast, check-out of the lodge and head back to Kampala. Drive along Kasese-Mbarara route, have a stopover for lunch in Mbarara, proceed with the journey, and another stopover at Equator to buy some souvenirs. The driver guide will drop you at Entebbe Airport for your flight back home or to other destinations.
