Murchison falls national park is the oldest and largest in Uganda and it has such a remarkable cruising experience either to the bottom of the falls commencing from Paraa or downstream to Lake Albert delta which goes for about 4 to 5 hours.
Cruising at the source of the Nile is such an awesome feeling that one gets to cruise on the longest river in the world.
The river is about 6,996 kilometers flowing from Uganda through Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan and Egypt and has its source from Lake Victoria. It is located in Jinja, Eastern part of Uganda.
One of the best lakes to cruise on even though it’s the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. It is also a lake that homes many birds, surrounded by a number of islands and one of the smallest lakes in Uganda.
Guided by the rangers in groups of about eight, the visitors get to dive in the wild of chimpanzees and experience the unforgettable moments. It is one of the most popular tourist and wildlife activities in Uganda.
With just a maximum of one hour with the chimpanzees, the trek goes for about 3 -7 hours. Visitors are given a limit of 8-10 meters away from the chimpanzees.
This area located in the south west of Uganda homes about 1500 chimpanzees and the major chimpanzee trekking destination in Uganda. Chances of sighting chimpanzees in here are 95%.
The calming falls that the park derives its name from is worthy of more visits in Uganda. In here, there is a fine layer spray covering the surrounding of a narrow gap between the rocks where the beautiful falls spread out interestingly violently.
Visitors will also be able to view Animals at the other side of the River as the Nile widens out including crocodiles and Buffaloes. Its located in the Northwest of Uganda.
