Cruising at the source of the Nile is such an awesome feeling that one gets to cruise on the longest river in the world.

The river is about 6,996 kilometers flowing from Uganda through Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan and Egypt and has its source from Lake Victoria. It is located in Jinja, Eastern part of Uganda.

Cruising on Lake Bunyonyi

One of the best lakes to cruise on even though it’s the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. It is also a lake that homes many birds, surrounded by a number of islands and one of the smallest lakes in Uganda.

CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN UGANDA

With just a maximum of one hour with the chimpanzees, the trek goes for about 3 -7 hours. Visitors are given a limit of 8-10 meters away from the chimpanzees.

Murchison Falls National Park

Visitors will also be able to view Animals at the other side of the River as the Nile widens out including crocodiles and Buffaloes. Its located in the Northwest of Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Best time to visit Uganda

The drier seasons are always the best time to visit Uganda. This is between December to February and June to September for these times favor game viewing and trekking to sight chimpanzees and mountain gorillas.

March, April and May are always dominated by rains which is unfavorable for most travelers since terrains are muddy and slippery for trekking and the vegetation is abnormally lush to sight most of the wildlife.
