Day1. Arrival and Kigali city tour

Our safari will begin on your arrival at the airport, Meet and greet the driver guide that will take you through a briefing about this great 6 Days primate safari in Rwanda. Visit some of the notable attractions in Kigali city such as the Rwanda genocide memorial center, the national museum, the local markets like Kimironko market, the milk bars, art and gallery centers and many more. Later on, head to the hotel for your accommodation.

Day2. Transfer to Volcanoes national park via the twin lakes

Transfer to one of the oldest national parks in Africa that is Volcanoes national park a home to endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkeys both rare primate species. As you are travelling to this beautiful park, pass through the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo with a short canoe ride to one of the lakes. Proceed to the park lodge and rest for the rest of the evening.

Day3. Gorilla trekking

Begin the day with breakfast at the lodge and head to the offices of the park for briefing. At this point, be informed about the does and don’ts, dressing code, materials you need to carry along while on the search and many more others. Enter the forest to begin the search for these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Meet the family of gorillas and spend an hour in their presence while recording memorable photos. Later on, after 5 to 8 hours of experience, head back to the lodge for a leisurely evening.

Day4. Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Nyungwe NP

Head back to the park offices for briefing and this time be allowed to use the flash light camera since golden monkeys will tend to draw closer. Immediately the search will begin with the help of the park ranger and if you are lucky meet the gorillas in the jungle. Meet the golden monkeys in the bamboo trees and this will create everlasting memories. Later on, head to Nyungwe national park home to the 13 primates hence related to Kibale National Park in Uganda in terms of homing the chimpanzees that are the main attraction. Arrive and head to the lodge for dinner.

Day5. Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Breakfast will be served on the balcony of your room, and then take a short drive to the park offices to attend the briefing exercise. This exercise is very great since you encounter different aspects like the dressing attire, the guidelines to follow, allocation of the park ranger guide and many more others. This briefing will almost be the same as that of gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park.

Begin the search with the help of the park ranger. Spot more primates and birds as the park guide will explain each and everything you meet while on this beautiful trail. Meeting a group or community of chimpanzees will give you an hour in their presence as you witness them grooming their young ones, looking for food, and playing as they swing on tree branches. Return back after a 4 to 5 hours experience for lunch.

After lunch, take a canopy walk where a bridge-like rope is suspended in the air at a height of 70m and 160m long offering a 2 hours walk as you spot great numbers of primates like the black and white colobus monkeys, varvet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys and many more others. Birds will be singing great melodies such as Ruwenzori night jar, handsome francolin, white-tailed crested flycatcher, stripe-breasted tit parus, kungwe Apalis, Ruwenzori batis and many more others. Return to the lodge to enjoy your last night on this memorable Safari.

Day6. Head back to Kigali and fly home

Have the last breakfast of your tour on this day and begin the journey to Kigali city for your departure flight this marks the end of 6 days of Rwanda gorillas, golden monkeys and chimpanzee tour.
