5 Days wildlife and Primates in Uganda is one of the sensational Safari that every traveler should never think of missing before planning to travel. This is one of the best Safari that will expose you to the endangered primates found in Uganda by visiting them in their natural habitat. Uganda is among the lucky countries that still have primates and these are; gorillas and chimpanzees.
The trip will grant you an opportunity to visit 3 National Parks each with giving you an extra ordinary experience due to different activities and wildlife found therein. You will visit Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park a haven of mountain gorillas, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park giving you an experience of tree climbing lions and also viewing the Big 4 of the jungle (Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes and Leopards) and then finally head to Kibale Forest National Park the prime capital of Chimpanzees and its known for having the largest concentration of Chimpanzees in the whole world.
In the early morning, our driver representative will pick you from the hotel in Kampala and this will be after your delicious breakfast. He will educate you about the itinerary and then embark on the safari to Southwestern Uganda. The journey will take you about 8-9 hours with stopovers, the first stopover will be at Equator where you will engage in Equator experience, take pictures and then proceed with your journey.
The second stopover will be in Mbarara for lunch in a descent restaurant, proceed with journey that takes you through local homesteads of the local people, arrive in the park in the evening, continue to the booked hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Arise in the early morning, have a scrumptious breakfast and head to the park briefing ground, meet the game ranger who will educate you about the trekking etiquettes, be allocated a gorilla family to track and then head to the jungle.
Tracking takes about 2-6 hours depending on how quick you meet the primates and then spend an hour in their presence, taking pictures and videos. Return to the lodge, have lunch, check-out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arrive in the evening, check-in to the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.
On your 3rd day, arise in the early morning, have an early breakfast and head to the jungle to catch the early risers like elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks and waterbucks, kobs, birds. This will be the best time for you to spot nocturnal animals like hyenas, leopards going back to their dens. You will enjoy the endless plains of Kasenyi, visit different scenic viewpoints including Queen’s pavilion.
Have a picnic lunch, thereafter head to Kazinga channel for launch cruise to spot most of the wildlife for example crocodiles, hippopotamus, birds all fringing around the water bank. Enjoy this experience till late evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
This is another beautiful day to head for more beautiful experience in Kibale Forest National Park a home to the world’s haven of chimpanzees. You will wake up in the morning, and you may decide to do another game drive in the park or visit a community. After this experience, bid a farewell to Queen Elizabeth and head to Kibale National Park which is Northeastern Side of Queen Elizabeth NP. Arrival will be in the afternoon, check-in at the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Arise in the early morning, greet your intestines with a scrumptious breakfast and head to the briefing center. You will be allocated the chimpanzee family to track as well, head to the jungle with a ranger guide who will be locating for you the chimpanzee family, track them for about an hour, take pictures and videos, return to the lodge, check-out and transfer to Kampala. The driver guide will either drop you at the hotel or airport depending on the time of your flight thus marking the end of your safari.
