The 6 days/5 Nights Rwanda Group Tour takes you to Rwanda’s Vibrant Kigali City where you will experience the Kigali Genocide Center and Kimironko Market. The 6 days Rwanda Group Tour combines gorilla trekking, chimpanzee trekking with a cultural safari taking you through Volcanoes National Park and Nyungwe National Park.

Volcanoes National Park is Rwanda’s prime gorilla trekking destination located in the northwestern part of Rwanda covering an area of about 360sqkm and is home to almost half of the Mountain gorillas in the world, including habituated gorilla families that enhance a great visitor’s experience. Later, you shall transfer to Nyungwe National Park which is a prime chimpanzee trekking destination. Nyungwe National Park is located in the southern part of Rwanda with a larger chimpanzee population as well as different primate species and bird species.

You will have a chance to walk in Kigali for a city experience, giving you a chance to tour the supermarkets, craft centers, and shops, tasting local fruits as well as visiting the Kigali Memorial Center, where thousands of people were buried to commemorate the 1994 genocide terror. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up and Kigali City Tour

On this day, you will be picked up by your tourist guide, who will take you through a briefing about the 6 Days Rwanda Group Tour, including the destinations to visit, accommodation, and activities to do during the tour. Later, embark on a Kigali city experience taking you through the largest economical Market, Kimironko Market and Kigali Genocide Center as well as Nyamirambo center. After your full-day Kigali city tour, you shall return to the lodge for an overnight and relaxed dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After a relaxed morning breakfast, embark on a 2-hour journey to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze District. During your Journey, you shall have a chance to have scenic stopovers for relaxation and breathtaking views. Arrive at the lodge and enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner. After your dinner, your guide will take you through a pre-briefing about gorilla trekking.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Iby’Iwacu Cultural Experience

Rise early in the morning with a mouth-watering breakfast and later gather at the Kinigi Visitor’s information center for a briefing about gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will trek through the lush tropical rainforest in search of the mountain gorilla, where you will have a chance to spot a variety of bird species. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend with them 1 hour as you learn more about them and later head back to the starting point.

Later, you will proceed for a cultural experience at Iby’Iwacu Cultural center where you will have a chance to participate in the Rwanda traditional culture including traditional marriage ceremonies, traditional dances, drama and folk songs, cattle grazing and traditional clothing. Return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, check out and later proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park in the southern part of Rwanda. The journey takes about 4 hours including a scenic stopover for scenic views and refreshments. Later, we proceeded to the park.

Arrive at the lodge and check in for your dinner and overnight stay. Later, your guide shall take you through a briefing about chimpanzee trekking, including the right gear to pack for chimpanzee trekking and the Forest canopy walk.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking and Forest Canopy Walk

Rise early in the morning with a heavy breakfast and later proceed to the starting point for the chimpanzee trekking process. Just like gorilla trekking, you shall have a briefing and later head for the search of chimpanzees in their natural habitats. On finding the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with the chimpanzees as you learn about their way of life and behaviours. Descend to the starting point and prepare for the forest canopy walk.

Embark on a guided Forest canopy walk which is suspended 60 meters high, giving you a chance to view the scenic treetops with stunning views and sweeping cool, fresh air. Along the canopy walk, you will have a chance to spot a variety of bird species and different primates of the park, such as monkeys and baboons. The canopy walk takes about 2 hours, and later, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Return to Kigali Airport and Departure

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a 5-hour journey to Kigali International Airport with a stopover for scenic views and later en route to Kigal Airport. Arrive at the airport for check-in and prepare to fly to your next destination as you conclude the 6-day Rwanda Group Tour.
