Detailed Itinerary of the 3-Day Lake Nakuru Safari
Day 1: Pick-up and Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
On this day, you shall meet your guide who shall you through a briefing and later embark on a 3 -4 hours journey to Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey takes you through magical Kenya’s breathtaking landscapes. You shall arrive at the lodge check in for your lunch and proceed for an evening game drive in the park for late sightings.
Day 2: Full Day exploration of Lake Nakuru National Park
Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and embark on a full-day exploration of Lake Nakuru National Park in an open safari vehicle. The game drive introduces you to the stunning soda-shallowed Lake Nakuru which is home to a variety of bird species including the Lesser Flamingo, Greater Flamingo, African Fish Eagle, White Pelican, Black-winged Stilt, Marabou Stork, Yellow-billed Stork, African Spoonbill, Black-headed Heron, Great Egret, Little Egret, Cattle Egret, Grey Heron, African Jacana, Common Sandpiper, Pied Avocet, Osprey, Secretary bird, Nubian Vulture, Tawny Eagle, Bateleur, Long-tailed Cormorant, Little Grebe, Rock Dove, Red-eyed Dove, Mourning Dove, Laughing Dove, White-cheeked Turaco, European Roller, Lilac-breasted Roller, Hoopoe, Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher and Black-crowned Night Heron.
Later, you shall return to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation. In the evening, you shall embark on a game drive where you shall have a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities such as black and white rhinos, elephants, lions, leopards, warthogs, buffaloes, hippos, kobs, waterbucks, and crocodiles among many others.
Finalize your day with a sunset at the lodge a delicious dinner and a relaxed stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Morning game drive and return to Nairobi International Airport
Very early in the morning after a hearty breakfast, you shall embark on a morning game drive to catch up for the early sightings that you could have missed on the evening game drive taking you for 2 to 3 hours and later transfer back to Nairobi International Airport as you conclude your 3-Day Lake Nakuru Safari.
